Two films by the filmmaker Teboho Edkins, who grew up in Lesotho, Africa, are shown in the exhibition Something Between Us in KAI 10 | ARTHENA FOUNDATION: Gangster Backstage (2013) with protagonists from criminal milieus in Cape Town, and Shepherds (2018-2020), shot in a prison with rustlers in Lesotho. Shepherds has received several awards at this year's International Short Film Festival in Oberhausen. At the Berlinale 2020 his documentary Days of Cannibalism premiered, which deals with a new relationship between China and Africa. During the artist talk, Teboho Edkins will talk with curator Ludwig Seyfarth about his working method, which has earned him recognition in both the film and art scene.
